Welcome to Kirklinton Hall & Gardens.
This enchanting, historic, derelict estate offers the perfect backdrop for any wedding or event. Surrounded by 14 acres of formal gardens, woodland and meadow there are endless opportunities for exploring.
With the Coachhouse and Tower currently undergoing restoration we will be able to offer 3 separate accommodation options from Autumn 2023.
We are a very unique venue that has an abundance of choice when it comes to your day. Whether it be a marquee in the formal gardens at Kirklinton or a romantic candlelit dinner in the derelict hall. Between the months of April and October (inclusive) we welcome all couples to experience the magic that is Kirklinton Hall & Gardens
In the apple orchard, we are
delighted to offer our Petal Pole stretch marquee with fully open or partially
panelled window walled sides. This marquee is able to comfortably hold 120
guests and a bar, with a catering tent hidden behind. This arrangement provides
a beautiful atmosphere throughout the wedding breakfast and long into the
evening for your evening reception and dancing, with adjacent firepits and
path-lined festoon lighting.
Available from Summer 2025, the 19th century Victorian hall ruin is
an incredible open space across 3 stories with dramatic exposed
red sandstone and climbing greenery encasing the walls, bringing the magic of
the Walled Gardens inside the hall. The hall’s restoration will forever be
ongoing, with future plans for re-roofing and waterproofing, but due to the
beauty of the structure in its current state, it is a unique and unusual space
that many will fall in love with. With the ability to hold up to 120 guests for
wedding breakfasts and ceremonies, the hall is another stunning option
available for your celebration at Kirklinton Hall.
Our newly restored Coach House with an open vaulted ceiling
and exposed beams encased within the original red sandstone of Kirklinton Hall
provides the perfect space for ceremonies up to 100 guests, and wedding
breakfasts up to 60 guests.
The formal terraces overlooking
the Main Lawn is one of two options for outdoor ceremonies, at the back of the ruined façade. Roses entwined within the ruins climb high from the flower beds to soften the stone, and surround both ceremonies and drink receptions on the terrace with their delicate floral scents.
The second outdoor ceremony space is down the stone steps from the Terrace, situated on the Main Lawn which is bordered by mature hedges, woods and a beck, giving another great backdrop to your outdoor ceremony.
St Cuthbert’s is a quaint, symmetrical red sandstone built Parish Church in Kirklinton, just 300metres from Kirklinton Hall gardens and able to provide religious ceremonies should you wish.
We have 3 cottages at Kirklinton Hall, each different and unique. Available to book throughout the year for holidays and short breaks. For more information on our cottages follow the links below.
