Kirklinton Hall is an 17th century Grade II listed ruined manor set in c.13 acres of landscaped gardens, meadow and the remains of a walled garden. It is a tranquil, rural location encircled by a beck and established woodland. This is a rare opportunity to leave your mark on a rebuilding this amazing garden
You will be working alongside the owners to rebuild Kirklinton Hall gardens. The role will include all aspects of gardening and grounds maintenance across all seasons. A comprehensive range of modern equipment is available. Experience using mechanical equipment is preferred. A suitable candidate must be organised, efficient, conscientious with exacting eye for detail. We are ideally looking for someone with at least 1 year experience in horticulture however it is not essential.

Salary: from £12.00 per hour (dependant on experience)
Expected hours: 16 hrs per week
Responsibilities:
- Maintain and care for the grounds of the property, including lawns, gardens, and landscaping.
- Perform regular landscape maintenance tasks such as mowing, edging, weeding, and pruning.
- Operate hand tools and power tools to complete groundskeeping tasks.
- Plant and maintain flowers, shrubs, and trees to enhance the overall appearance of the property.
- Remove debris and litter from the grounds to maintain a clean and tidy environment.
- Assist with the setup and breakdown of outdoor events or activities as needed.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in groundskeeping or landscaping preferred but not required.
- Knowledge of various hand tools and power tools used in groundskeeping.
- Ability to perform physical tasks such as lifting heavy objects, bending, kneeling, and standing for extended periods.
- Excellent time management skills to prioritize tasks effectively.
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team.
